MK stands at the confluence of creativity, strategy, and digital innovation in the experiential marketing and event technology realm. With over 15 years’ experience, MK has shaped brand narratives, fostered dynamic partnerships, and pioneered sponsorship activations that resonate on a global stage.
MK earned a Bachelor of Science in Theater Arts Management from Ithaca College, laying the foundation for her unique approach to brand storytelling and event production. Later, her academic pursuits led her to the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she earned her MBA, further honing her strategic insights while co-founding Gen City Labs.
MK’s career began in production management at the Tony Award winning Williamstown Theatre Festival, a world renown summer stock program that can best be described as an intense theater bootcamp. After graduating Ithaca College, she joined the Sports & Entertainment department Mohegan Sun, diving deep into the logistics required to manage a high volume of events across concurrent venues.
With a desire for travel and professional growth, MK joined RX Global and ReedPop where she drove sponsorship development and sales enablement for prestigious events like New York Comic Con and PAX. Her innovative strategies significantly enhanced the range of sponsorship and media offerings across both B2B and B2C events, winning a number of internal awards for collaboration and revenue growth.
In 2019, MK transitioned to Gartner as Experiential Marketing Manager, where she was instrumental in developing global B2B event marketing strategies for the research & advisory firm with an emphasis on driving product demonstrations and attendee engagement among c-suite attendees. Her efforts increased lead generation through interactive content-based campaigns.
While at Gartner & pursuing her MBA, MK’s passion for the future of events, communities and brands led her to follow her entrepreneurial spirit and co-found Gen City Labs. As Head of Marketing she partnered with global brands & agencies to crafts custom interactive experiences used at events, festivals, pop-ups, briefing centers, flagship retail, and more.
Most recently, MK has been appointed to Director of Revenue Optimization at Informa Markets North America, working across a wide array of event families to drive innovation and sales excellence for event sponsorships.
Her mission is to empower brands to forge meaningful connections, tell compelling stories, and create memories that captivate and inspire. MK has spoken at events including XLive, The Event Planner Expo, ToyFair, and Advertising Week. She has also been featured within the event industry community through the Trade Show Insights podcast & BizBash.
